Advancing Real-Time Monitoring, Traceability, and Data-Driven Insights for the Pork Industry
Xsights Digital Pty Ltd was honoured to be invited to the Western Australia Pork Producers Association (WAPPA) Industry Day, where industry leaders came together to share new insights and innovations shaping the future of pork production in Australia.
Representing Xsights, Dr Michael Garrett presented alongside Dr Megan Trezona from Craig Mostyn Group and Dr Rodrigo Pires from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD). Their joint presentation focused on real-time monitoring of pig health and wellbeing using the Xiot Smart Tag, highlighting its value in improving both provenance and traceability across commercial pig operations.
Showcasing the Food Agility ‘3Ps’ Project
The presentation formed part of the broader Food Agility CRC ‘Pig Welfare and Pork Provenance’ (3Ps) project, a major research initiative exploring how AI, IoT, and smart data analytics can transform livestock management and supply chain transparency.
The WAPPA Industry Day provided an invaluable platform to share key outcomes from the project with an audience of Western Australia’s leading pork producers, processors, and researchers, sparking engaging discussion on how emerging technologies are reshaping welfare standards and industry practices.
Collaboration Driving Innovation
Xsights extends its thanks to WAPPA, Food Agility, and all 3Ps project partners – including Curtin University, Pork Innovation WA, and Beanstalk AgTech – for their ongoing collaboration and contribution to advancing the pork industry’s digital transformation.
By leveraging the Xiot Smart Tag and XLM analytics platform, Xsights continues to help producers gain actionable, real-time insights that improve welfare, efficiency, and sustainability.
At Xsights, our philosophy remains simple yet powerful:
